This is one of those translation/filter programmes for text files. This version translates a text file to JiveTalk. There is a translation file included which holds the JiveTalk library, TF JiveTalk, its just a Simple Text document so you can add or modify it or create a completely new one of your own.
Operation:
1. Boot up Text Mangler.
2. Open a Translation File, Apple T.
3. Open a Text file To Mangle.
4. Select where to save and what to call it.
5. Open the new file in simple text.
Translation Files
Translation Files are simple text files but must have the word "Translation" on a line of its own at the the top of the file. You can then fill in the various sections as follows.
1.Substitution
Its best to start with the words that require a straight substitution. First put the word "Substitution" on a line of its own followed by the before and after words. The substitutions are for individual words but an individual word can be replaced with a phrase.

There is no space between the words and the "=" sign and a carriage return at the end if the line.
2.Prefixes and Suffixes
Prefixes and Suffixes are set out in a similar way. First the word "Prefixes" on a line on its own and then the before and after, no "=" sign is needed.

There is a space between the before and after and a a carriage return at the end of the line
3. Phrases
Phrases are randomly thrown into the text after a full stop and a space. They are set out on lines of there own with a carriage return at the end.

They don’t need any special File Name and Text Mangler wont let you open them if they don’t conform to the specification.
Requirements:
500K of Ram.
Colour QuickDraw.
System 7.0.0 and upwards.
